Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to wash the wraps?
Only if you think they need it. Our wraps are made from cotton or rayon both of which will be fine in a cold wash with a warm iron.
How do I wrap a huge gift sustainably?
If you're trying to wrap a bike, surf ski or very large toy you can think about joining a few extra large wraps together or even just using a sheet with a ribbon or bow to finish it off.
Can I add other things to the Wrap Happy Kit?
Oh my goodness, Yes! We deliberately chose a good sized box so you can add other fabrics, scarves, household decorations and even gorgeous tea towels that are too good to use on spills can go in there.
How do I get my wrap back if I give a gift to a friend?
Ahh yes, we are making this a thing! So if they are a friend of yours we would assume they know you and know that you are open minded enough to try new things. So they probably are too!
Just say to them "it's a fabric wrap, you can give it back to me and I'll use it again" or "you can have it and use it again."
They may be keen on joining a circular system with you. You'd be surprised, most people will be interested and join the conversation. If not, just take it away as you would regular wrapping paper, but don't put in in the bin, pop it back in your kit for next celebration.
Is this good value?
In short, absolutely! Generally speaking a good size Furoshiki wrap will normally set you back around $20 per piece. We found that using Furoshiki at home for our families was a costly thing to start. So yes, a kit packed with so many wraps, sacks and trim for the price of 4 or 5 is very good value, even if we do say so ourselves!
Where do you source your fabric from?
We are currently ordering most of our stock from a family in Bali who hand block print the cotton and rayon. We also use a mix of local suppliers in Perth, China and Bali. Everything is lovingly packed by our own hand here in Perth, Western Australia.
