The Magic of a Single Piece of Fabric 💫

Welcome to our little corner of the world, we are so happy you are here!

We are Casper and Sonia, two mums who met at a tiny little Montessori School in Dianella, Perth, where our children started kindy.

A single piece of fabric started this story.

This piece of fabric had been going back and forth from Sonia's friend Ren to Sonia over the past few years. Each gift Ren and Sonia would give each other would be wrapped in this piece of fabric and then unwrapped, placed away and brought out for the next birthday or Christmas.

What a special piece of fabric!

This same piece of fabric made its way around our little school community via birthday presents for the children. One day Casper mentioned to Sonia about how another mum had wrapped her child's gift in this beautiful fabric and Sonia's ears perked up! She knew exactly what it was.

While the kids would play after school there were lots of chats in the park next door about how great this fabric wrapping is, our shared love for sustainable practices and how we can find other ways to help mother nature out a little.

We discussed countless occasions where we'd gather for celebrations, only to see piles of disposable wrapping paper discarded after the party was over. This was a wakeup call. We decided that it was time to make a change, to be part of the solution rather than the problem. So we went out fabric hunting and did a little mini Christmas in July with the other mums from school. Testing out the wraps and seeing the cute ways people used them was very funny and also eye opening for all of us.

Our purpose is to offer a sustainable and creative solution for gift wrapping, blending our love for the environment and our desire to inspire the next generation. We've witnessed firsthand how fabric gift wrapping can become a cherished tradition, enhancing the excitement of gift-giving and teaching children the value of reusable materials.

We decided that the Furoshiki style of wrapping is so amazing but we needed something that our friends and family would be able to use that was a little more familiar. So, we set out to create a system where you can use fabric but in a more conventional way. We've had a great time finding fabrics, clasps, elastics, ribbons and trim to help you make your gifting look amazing. After your celebration, pack it up and use it again next time. Our fabrics can be used for Birthday's, special occasions, Easter, Christmas ..anything really!

We hope to see you come along with us as part of the Wrap Happy Community.
